Saving money through the year can be difficult, but this savings challenge will help! Use this free chart and save $2021 by year’s end!
2021 Savings Challenge
It is almost 2021! Are you excited or exhausted? After this year, probably a little (or a lot) of both? I have to say that I am fairly excited to see 2020 close up shop.
At this time of year, the holiday shopping is done, the food preparations are over, cleaning the house can take a break (okay, not really, but let’s pretend) and your bank account is spent (see what I did there??).

So, I have a New Year’s savings challenge for you to get the year started on the right foot. It can be very difficult to save money without a plan, so let my free 2021 Savings Worksheet be your guide.
If you put away approximately $38.87 each week, you will end up saving a total of $2021 by the end of the year. You can use that money towards a vacation, holiday gifts, stash it away as a nest egg – anything!
Here is how it works – print out this form and keep it on your fridge or in a safe place. Each week, put away about $38.87 or more. (I would round this to $39 or $40 if you can – it saves a bit more and makes it easier not having to count change.)
If you can put this money in a savings account, you’ll earn a few additional cents in interest. At the end of the year, you’ll have at least $2021 without having had to stress out about saving larger numbers.
If you find that your budget doesn’t lend itself to saving $39 per week, save $5 each week if you can. That will still have you saving $260 over the course of the year, which could take care of your holiday gifts and decorations. Do what you can do (and if it’s zero, it’s zero – don’t stress yourself!), but it is always easiest to start earlier rather than later. Happy new year!
