Time for month three of Mindfulness Meditation exercises! You can read through all the previous Mindfulness Meditation months to get yourself going before this one, but then come back to join us here!

Mindfulness Meditation is about finding ways to help center yourself. These exercises are meant to help you find some peace within yourself, and help guide you towards a more calm and positive existence. You can practice these activities on the train, in the car, in the bathroom, at a restaurant – wherever works for you. The most important thing is to do them – and do them consistently – in order to see their effectiveness on your life.

Mindfulness Meditation Exercise – Month #3

This is about starting to really see yourself. Get to know the real you. Here is my challenge to you:

Spend three seconds looking yourself in the eyes each day. Do this with a mirror at any time.

This might sound silly, but how often do you really see yourself? How often do you take a moment to really look? Understand that this is not about hunting for any skin flaws that you may find, but looking in your own eyes. If it makes you uncomfortable, make a face at yourself. Smile at yourself. Tell yourself a joke. Do whatever you have to in order to get to the point where looking in your own eyes for a few seconds is not uncomfortable. You are the person that you spend the most time with, so finding a peace within your own eyes may be just the calm you need. Good luck!
