Pink Heart Chocolate Pretzels

Easy Valentine’s Day Pretzels

These Pink Heart Hershey Kiss Pretzels are the perfect treat for so many occasions! Whether you’re looking for Valentine’s Day desserts, party favors, classroom treats, or just a special way to let someone know that they are loved, this easy dessert recipe is a great one to have in your back pocket.

An easy treat that would be a great substitution for Valentine’s Day chocolate or conversation hearts, these also make a great snack or great gift. With simple ingredients that you can find at your local stores, everyone will appreciate the sweet and salty combination.

With only three ingredients, you could easily supervise a child who wants to make these pink heart pretzels and let them do it themselves.

If their classroom permits homemade Valentine’s Day treats, they could give these out instead of the store-purchased Valentines Day cards. Wrap a few in cute cellophane bags and label them with names. Much more personal and they’ll be a huge hit!

This tasty treat resembles dipped pretzels but is so much easier to make. Without making a big mess, you can cut out some cute candy hearts, put together these Valentine pretzel buttons, and have a special time with someone you love.

What’s better, everyone gets to enjoy any excess chocolate! Sometimes you just need a Hershey’s Kiss, am I right?

Pretzel snaps spread out on a parchment lined baking sheet next to a white bowl of more on a white tableStep 2: Place your pretzel snaps onto your cookie sheet in a single layer. They don’t need to be spread apart, so you can add as many as you can fit.

How To Store Leftover Pink Heart Hershey Kiss Pretzels

Store any leftover pretzel treats in an airtight container at room temperature or in the refrigerator for up to a week.

Are These Holiday Pretzels Gluten-Free?

These sweet treats are naturally vegetarian, egg-free, and nut-free. If you need a gluten-free version of this recipe, be sure to purchase gluten-free pretzels. They are the only ingredient with potential gluten, so they would be easy to create for a gluten-free crowd.

Can I Use A Different Type Of Chocolate Kisses?

Yes! I typically use classic milk chocolate Kisses for these great treats, but you can absolutely choose a different kind of Hershey’s chocolate instead.

Depending on the look that you are going for, you can use dark chocolate Kisses, Hershey’s Hugs, or any variety of white chocolate Kisses that you find in your grocery stores.

Can I Use Another Color Fondant For The Pink Hearts?

Yes! If you aren’t interested in the hot pink hearts or can only find another color of fondant, feel free. These Valentine pretzels will taste the same no matter the color.

Do I Have To Use Butter Snap Pretzels?

No, you can use any shape of pretzel other than pretzel rods, pretzel twists, and pretzel sticks. The hearts on top of the circles on top of the pretzel squares look very cool, but if you are making these tasty treats at the last minute, you can use any other shaped flat pretzel base.

Can I Decorate These Chocolate Pretzel Bites For Other Holidays?

Yes! This easy snack is extremely versatile and there are a few things that you can do to make it into St. Patrick’s Day or Christmas pretzel treats.

The first option is to change the color of the fondant. Use green for St. Patrick’s Day or green and red for Christmas. Follow the instructions above in exactly the same way.

The second option is to swap out the heart for M&M candies. After removing the baking sheet from the oven, place a green M&M or red M&M into each chocolate-topped pretzel. A little treat that you can make instead of Christmas cookies, these mini pretzel desserts will be a great addition to your holiday.
