Recipe Notes:
- If you are serving this creamy dip at a family gathering or other social events indoors, it will be fine at room temperature for a few hours.
- If you are serving it at a summer cookout or a movie night outside, you may want to place the serving bowl in some ice to keep it cool.
How To Make This Cheesecake Dip Recipe
Ingredients:
8 oz Cool Whip (or 16 oz if you want a thinner dip)
8 oz cream cheese, softened
3.4 oz cheesecake instant pudding mix
Directions:
Place your Cool Whip, block of cream cheese, and instant pudding into a large bowl.
Using a hand mixer or an electric mixer, beat your cream cheese mixture until it is smooth and well combined in the mixing bowl.
Be sure to scrape the sides with a rubber spatula so that everything is incorporated and you can break up any little lumps.
Add in another 8 oz of Cool Whip if you like a thinner fruit dip or leave it as it is for a thicker consistency.
Serve this easy cheesecake dip with fresh strawberries or your favorite fruit and enjoy!
Pro Tip – Keep a can of whipped cream on the side so people can spray some on top of their dip and favorite fresh fruits!
Store any leftovers of this easy fruit dip recipe in an airtight container or the small bowl covered tightly in plastic wrap in the fridge for best results.
Your dip will be just as good the next day and should be fine to eat for up to 5 days.
What Should I Serve With This 3-Ingredient Fruit Dip?
There are tons of options for keeping everyone a happy camper with variety. I have always seen this as a strawberry fruit dip, but now I will vary the type of fruit I serve with it. If serving a large crowd, grab a few fruit platters or cut up a variety of apple slices.
And if you don’t have any fruit handy or want to create the perfect combination of options? Use Some graham crackers, vanilla wafers, pretzel sticks, or your favorite dippers. You really can’t go wrong. It also pairs beautifully with my Pound Cake Strawberry Shortcake!
Is There Any Way To Change Up This Fluffy Fruit Dip?
I think that this simple recipe makes for the best fruit dip, but of course, it’s fair game! Add a little bit of vanilla extract if you want to enhance some vanilla cheesecake flavor. Use strawberry cream cheese in place of regular to easily turn it into a strawberry dip with a tint of pink color.
You could even add a little cocoa powder to turn it into a chocolate fruit dip. There are tons of variations of fruit dip that you could make with this recipe!
Can I Add Anything To This Easy Recipe?
While this Cool Whip fruit dip recipe is delicious, has a fluffy texture, and is probably the easiest dip you will ever make, some people enjoy having small pieces added.
Because this no-bake dessert is a fun twist on traditional cheesecake and with that comes a graham cracker crust, you could easily stir in some graham cracker crumbs or add some to the top of the cheesecake dip.
You could also add some mini chocolate chips, bits of cookie dough, or coconut shreds to the cheesecake mixture next time – all of which would likely be a huge hit.

If you do not have coolwhip what can I use? Really want to try this recipe
Hi Ali! If you don’t have Cool Whip, there isn’t a great substitute available unfortunately. That said, I’ve found this homemade Cool Whip recipe that you might want to try. It seems to hold up the same way. https://www.somethingswanky.com/homemade-cool-whip/
Good luck! 🙂
This sounds good and easy: We love cheesecake.
It is very good! I hope you enjoy it! 🙂
Can heavy cream be used in place of cool whip? Just mixing heavy cream with cream cheese and pudding mix? Looking for a slightly denser texture.
It’s possible, but I haven’t tried that combination. If you try it, please let me know how it goes!
