Halloween Pumpkin Man Twinkies

Halloween desserts don’t have to be complicated, but they should be fun! These no bake Halloween Jack O’ Lantern Twinkies look super cute and are a festive Halloween dessert that anyone can make!

We all know that the kids put costumes to get into the spirit of Halloween, but your Twinkies want to get dressed up too! With delicious cream filling and orange, green, and black candy melts, these happy Jack O Lantern Halloween treats make for an excellent Halloween party food or school treat.

If you are a fan of America’s Got Talent, you saw Pumpkin Man perform a few seasons ago. AGT is one of my family’s favorite shows (we love Simon Cowell and all of the judges!), so we never miss an episode.

Dancing Pumpkin Man (whose real name is Matt Geiler) made his appearance in his black unitard in season 12 and got eliminated during the Judge Cuts. My kids think these treats look like his pumpkin mask, so although we were bummed his musical improv didn’t take him further, we remember him every year with these.

These Twinkie Jack O Lantern cakes are a really fun activity for you to share with the kids. Give everyone a different Halloween decorating station and let everyone decorate their own perfect Halloween Twinkie face!

If you can’t make it to the pumpkin patch this season, you can still play some epic games and create some epic food. Start with these fun Halloween treats!

Recipe Notes:

  • If you can’t find black candy melts, you can substitute candy eyes and use black gel for the nose and mouth.
  • Be careful not to use your fingers to lift your orange Twinkies out of the candy melts or your little guys may have holes in them.
  • If you prefer not to use a microwave or don’t have one, you can use a double boiler to melt your candy melts.
  • If you don’t have a disposable piping bag, you can use a resealable bag and tie it off at the back. Push all of the melted candy melts to the corner and snip off a little bit to make a hole.

What Twinkies Should I Use For These Easy Halloween Treats?

One of the most fun things about these spooky snacks is that your snack cakes will be covered. That being the case, you can choose any flavor you want!

You can always choose original Twinkies or chocolate Twinkies, but if you’re a Twinkie fan, you know that the store shelves are often stocked with popular fall flavors like pumpkin spice Twinkies. Check out the new Hostess flavors for fun!
