Always gluten free, dairy free, vegan, vegetarian, and full of vitamins and healthy fat, you can make this appetizer in minutes if you keep the ingredients handy. It also qualifies for both paleo and keto diet standards. 

Whether you are serving this for the big game or as a topping for your eggs at breakfast, you can’t go wrong with a good homemade guacamole!

Homemade Guacamole Recipe

Ingredients:
2 green onions
1 or 2 jalapeños (depending on how much spice you’d like)
1 garlic clove
2 tomatoes, medium
2 avocados
1 lime
Salt (to taste)

Chopped onions in a food processorTake out a large food processor and a cutting board. Wash and dice the green onions and place them in the food processor. 

Chopped onions and peppers in a food processorWash and remove the seeds from the jalapeños and dice them. Add them to the food processor as well. If you want your guacamole to be particularly spicy, make sure to include some seeds and the spine of the pepper. Otherwise, discard them completely. 

Tomatoes and half an avocado on a cutting boardDice your garlic clove and add it to the food processor. Turn the food processor on and finely chop your ingredients. Leave everything there after chopping. 

Mashed avocados in a bowl with a potato masherPull out a large bowl and scoop out the inside of your avocados. Use a potato masher to mash them well. 

Mashed avocado and cut tomatoes in a bowlWash and dice both tomatoes and add them to the mashed avocados. Stir them together. Pour the contents of the food processor into your avocado mixture. Stir everything together.

Homemade Guacamole

This homemade guacamole recipe is the perfect appetizer for any gathering! Naturally gluten free, dairy free, and vegan, you can whip it up in minutes!

Prep Time 10 minutes
Additional Time 5 minutes
Total Time 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 green onions

Instructions

  4. Pull out a large bowl and scoop out the inside of your avocados. Use a potato masher to mash them well. 
  5. Wash and dice both tomatoes and add them to the mashed avocados. Stir them together. Pour the contents of the food processor into your avocado mixture. Stir everything together. 
  6. Add some lime juice and salt to taste and serve with some chips or veggies. Enjoy!

Notes

If you want your guacamole to be particularly spicy, make sure to include some seeds and the spine of the pepper. Otherwise, discard them completely.
