How To Make Pepperoni Pizza Waffle Fries
Pepperoni Pizza Waffle Fries Ingredients:
16 oz bag waffle fries, frozen
1 cup pizza sauce or marinara sauce
3 oz pepperoni slices (or more to taste)
1-2 cups mozzarella cheese
Fresh parsley garnish (optional)
Supplies Needed:
Rimmed cookie sheet
Kitchen spoon
Directions:
Step 1: Preheat your oven, take out a rimmed baking sheet and spread out a good amount of waffle fries, if not the entire bag.
Bake the frozen waffle fries in the preheated oven according to the package instructions.
Step 2: Once baked and a nice golden brown, remove your fries from the oven and keep them on the baking dish. Leave the oven on.
Step 3: Spoon pizza sauce all over the top of your fries.
Step 4: Lay your pepperoni all over the top of the pizza sauce. You can use 3 oz of sliced pepperoni for this – or a little bit more if you want to pile on the goodies.
Step 5: Sprinkle your cheese on top of the pepperoni.
Use a decent amount of cheese here. If I’m cooking for myself, I go for 2 cups, but for my son, who doesn’t care for melted cheese, I go for 1 cup. Your choice!
Step 6: Put your pan back into the oven for 6 – 8 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Step 7: Remove your pan from the oven and move your pepperoni pizza fries onto the serving dish of your choice.
Top the baked fries with parsley garnish and serve immediately. Enjoy!
How To Store Leftover Pepperoni Pizza Waffle Fries
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Are These Pizza Fries Gluten-Free?
This simple dish is naturally egg-free and nut-free, so it is a fun snack for lots of people. They should also be gluten-free, but that may depend on the brand of waffle fries you choose.
As of the writing of this post, Ore Ida waffle fries are gluten-free, but you will want to double-check any brand you buy.
Package ingredients may vary based on seasonings and factory preparation, but potatoes themselves do not contain gluten, nor do the other ingredients in the recipe.
Can I Add Seasonings To This Pepperoni Pizza Waffle Recipe?
Yes! This delicious combination is meant to resemble a pizza with your favorite pizza toppings, so the sauce should have enough of the seasonings you need, but you’re welcome to add more. If you want to add some Italian seasoning, fresh basil, or red pepper flakes, those could give you some additional flare.
Can I Make These Pizza Fries Vegetarian Or Vegan?
There are some really easy ways to change up these pizza waffle fries to meet your dietary needs. If you want this to be vegetarian, replace your pepperoni with meat-free pepperoni or veggie crumbles.
To make them vegan, use meat-free pepperoni as well as vegan cheese. Make sure to find something that will melt because you want your cheese bubbly and melted!

I have leftover waffle fries a temperature suggestion would be helpful.
Hi Jo! It’s tough to state a temperature, as it may vary according to the brand you purchase. That is why I think it’s best to follow the instructions that come with the product so that they are not over- or under-cooked. If you have leftover waffle fries, you could try baking them at 400 for 8 minutes and checking on them, but I’d keep an eye on the oven, as again, different brands may be larger/smaller/made from slightly different ingredients.
