Easy Berry Green Smoothie
My easy Berry Green Smoothie recipe is about to change your life! One of the biggest issues that I’ve had as a mom is getting vegetables into my children’s diet. My daughter will eat carrots, snap peas, brussel sprouts, corn and tons of other veggies; my son will eat cooked carrots ONLY if they are in a soup and he doesn’t notice that there is one on his spoon as he is eating and talking. Needless to say, it’s not easy! I had this discussion with our pediatrician and he suggested a golden idea – the smoothie! What kids don’t like a shake that they can make at home whenever they want??
This easy Berry Green Smoothie is the one that has worked best for my family. My daughter likes it just as it is and my son prefers it with no blueberries, but what is most important is that no one notices the kale. Yes, kale!! Not that you want to deceive your children, but maybe you can let them try the smoothie a time or two before letting them help you make one. Then you can say, see! You have loved it just the way it is! And if you plan to make these around dinnertime, pair them with these Homemade Pizza Pockets to create an entire meal that the kids have helped to make!
Easy Berry Green Smoothie Recipe
1/2 cup blueberries
1/2 cup strawberries
1/2 cup bananas sliced
1 cup kale (stems removed)
1 cup ice
1 cup orange juice
This recipe couldn’t be easier. Get your blueberries, strawberries, banana, kale, orange juice and ice. Add them to your blender and blend until smooth or close to smooth.
The only major thing is to make sure that there aren’t pieces of green kale floating around and you’re good to go. I hope my easy Berry Green Smoothie recipe changes your life, as it has mine!
