This Raspberry Blackberry Smoothie is a golden combination! Healthy smoothies with no added sugar, bright flavors and colors are the best!
Mixed Berry Fruit Smoothie
A good smoothie is often an excellent – and quick – start to the morning. Unfortunately, we don’t always have time for a sit-down breakfast with a breakfast casserole and a coffee. So on those days when you want something quick – or just something natural and delicious, you can opt for a Raspberry Blackberry Smoothie.
I find that a good smoothie is one of those things that can be made as a treat as well. Instead of a shake, my kids and I will throw some of our favorite fruits into the blender and come up with a creation. Some work and some don’t (it’s so much fun!), but this is one that definitely does!
This delicious smoothie is made with my favorite berries and a little honey is great for heart health and is packed with vitamin C. It’s a great way to use your fresh berries at the end of their life and a quick breakfast that makes for a great start to the day. Plus, it’s the perfect drink any time of year.
This recipe is made up of a combination of fresh and frozen berries, but you can use only fresh or only frozen if that’s what you have. So the next time you see them on sale at the local grocery store, the good news is that you’ll already have one recipe idea!

Recipe Notes:
- You can use either fresh raspberries and blackberries or frozen for this simple smoothie.
- This berry smoothie recipe makes about 16 oz, so it can be a single smoothie, you can split that between two people, or make double the recipe to serve more.
- The basic recipe here does not include ice, but you can add some ice cubes to the blender if you’d like a really cold smoothie.
- To turn this healthy smoothie into the base of a smoothie bowl, use only 1/2 cup milk and make sure you are using frozen mixed berries.

Is There Anything I Can Add To This Raspberry Blackberry Smoothie Recipe?
This recipe with these simple ingredients is the perfect way to start the morning (especially on a hot summer day!), but there are of course things you can do to add to it to create new recipes.
Consider some frozen banana or a ripe banana you may have on hand, some Greek yogurt or vanilla yogurt for a thick consistency, leafy greens, or any other fresh fruit or frozen fruit you have around. Many people also add chia seeds or hemp seeds directly to their smoothie recipes.
Can I Make This A Vegan Smoothie?
If you are looking for a vegan diet alternative to this mixed berry smoothie, use the blackberries and raspberries and trade out the regular milk for your favorite vegan yogurt, oat milk, unsweetened almond milk, or soy milk.
Trade the honey out for some agave nectar, coconut milk, or real maple syrup. And (in the voice of Gus from My Big Fat Greek Wedding), there you go!
