This Cheddar and Sour Cream Ranch Dip is one of those easy dip recipes that you can make any time. With only three ingredients, this creamy dip is ready in minutes!
Easy Cheddar And Sour Cream Ranch Dip
When you are hosting a party, a super bowl party or holiday gathering and you are on the hunt for appetizers, easy dip recipes are a great go-to. It is always my preference that dip recipes have only a few ingredients and taste great. That is the dream, right? This Cheddar and Sour Cream Ranch Dip is the answer!
This creamy and cheesy dip is unbelievably easy and will quite literally take you 5 minutes to whip up. Keep the ingredients on-hand in your kitchen and you can make it whenever you need a quick appetizer to put out for guests.
This flavorful dip goes great with fresh vegetables, but you can also serve it with chips or – my favorite – Fritos! They scoop it up perfectly and pair nicely with the salty, corn flavor.
One of the best things about this easy ranch dip recipe is that you can pick up all of the simple ingredients at any grocery store. With ranch mix, shredded cheese, and sour cream, the ingredient list doesn’t get much easier than this.
Always vegetarian and delicious, you can choose to add other ingredients if you want to bulk up this creamy ranch dip recipe. Something like bacon bits, green onions or black olives will change the flavor, but is an easy way to vary things.
Ranch Dip Recipe
16 oz container sour cream
1 package Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing Mix 1 oz
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
In a large mixing bowl, pour out your sour cream.
I find it easier to make this dip when the sour cream is not directly from the refrigerator, so you may want to take the container out about 1/2 hour before you plan to make your dip. Place it in a large bowl and set it aside while you do something else.
Pour in the ranch seasoning mix and stir to combine well with the creamy base.
Add your cheddar cheese and stir. It may be easiest to stir in half and then the next half instead of pouring it in all at once.
Place this dip in a serving bowl next to Fritos scoops (my favorite chip to serve it with!) or some fresh veggies.
Store any leftovers (if it doesn’t disappear in a single day!) in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
What Is Good To Dip In Ranch?
Let’s expand on this just a bit because it’s the #1 question I get asked. I see this homemade ranch dip as a Frito dip because it is my favorite way to eat it, but there are definitely other options. You can serve it with potato chips, tortilla chips, or on the side of a veggie tray. You may not have thought of it, but it is also the perfect recipe to make as a sandwich spread!
