Time for month twelve of Mindfulness Meditation exercises! You can read through all the previous Mindfulness Meditation months to get yourself going before this one, but then come back to join us here!
Mindfulness Meditation is about finding ways to help center yourself. These exercises are meant to help you find some peace within yourself, and help guide you towards a more calm and positive existence. You can practice these activities on the train, in the car, in the bathroom, at a restaurant – wherever works for you. The most important thing is to do them – and do them consistently – in order to see their effectiveness on your life.
Mindfulness Meditation Exercise – Month #12
This is about reflecting on not just your day, but the things around you and in your life. Keep that glass half full. Here is my challenge to you:
List three things that you are thankful for each day. Write them in a notebook meant for these exercises.
Finding the light in each day is important for the health of your being. Trying to see the glass half full instead of half empty is something that anyone can do with practice, but it is a decision. You decide to find the silver linings, it doesn’t just happen. By listing three things that you are thankful for, you will be reminding yourself of the good in this world – in your world. Examples can be anything from being thankful for your family to thankful for clean drinking water to thankful for the wind or hot dogs. Whatever it is that moves you, that is what you should write down that day. Try not to repeat any of the same items within the same month in order to make the most out of this exercise. Good luck!
