Mindfulness Meditation is about finding ways to help center yourself. These exercises are meant to help you find some peace within yourself, and help guide you towards a more calm and positive existence. You can practice these activities on the train, in the car, in the bathroom, at a restaurant – wherever works for you. The most important thing is to do them – and do them consistently – in order to see their effectiveness on your life.
Mindfulness Meditation Exercise – Month #6
This exercise is about giving yourself some tenderness and care. Here is my challenge to you:
Do something kind for yourself at least two times per week.
It is important that you aren’t waiting for someone else to do nice things for you, and that you are starting that with yourself. You are the only one in control of how you feel about yourself and the world, so do something kind for yourself. This would be anything from giving yourself a bubble bath, buying yourself a special coffee (something that you don’t usually treat yourself to), sitting in a garden with a book, giving yourself permission to take a nap or anything else that might appeal to you. These don’t have to take much time, but when you do them, be sure to thank yourself and acknowledge that this is a gift that you are giving you. You deserve it. Good luck!
