Red White And Blue Dessert

If you are looking for the perfect patriotic dessert for your Memorial Day, Labor Day or fourth of July celebration, this Red White and Blue Jello Parfait is going to come in handy! It is unbelievably easy to make and won’t break the budget.

Anyone can make these patriotic treats, so be sure to let the kids help if they’re around. It is the perfect way to help them feel like they are involved.

A no-bake Jello parfait is one of those fun treats that will help you celebrate all the summer holidays. Plus, having one that helps your patriotic colors stand out while also tasting great is a fun option.

Putting the actual red, white and blue Jello treats together will only take you about 10 minutes, but you do have to wait for the colors of Jello to set. I use the Speed Set method because it is faster, but you can choose whatever works best for you.

This is one of those fun recipes that is a huge crowd pleaser at a holiday picnic on a warm day. It’s a refreshing treat and a festive dessert that only takes a small amount of time to put together. I hope you love it!

Strawberry Jello, Cool Whip and Berry Blue Jello on a table

Jello Parfait Recipe

Ingredients:
3 oz box red Jello (I used Strawberry)
3 oz box blue Jello (I used Berry Blue)
8 oz Cool Whip (at room temperature)

A clear square baking dish full of blue Jello with a metal spoon inside next to four parfait glasses on a metal table

Prepare both the red Jello and blue Jello in separate dishes according to the box instructions. This will require cold water and boiling water, but consult the box for the exact Jello recipe.

I used the Speed-Set Method on the box. You can use a medium bowl or a large bowl – whatever you have available.

Remove your Jello when it is firm, but not hardened completely – somewhere around 60 minutes into refrigeration. Run a spoon through the different colors of Jello a few times to loosen it up.

Three parfait glasses with blue Jello and Cool Whip inside on a metal tableLayer the bottom of your parfait cup with your first layer of blue Jello. Add a dollop of Cool Whip to one side of the glass. You don’t need a full white layer, just a dollop on the side.

Continue to fill your cup with blue Jello until just below halfway full.

Move on to your next layer and fill the rest of the cup with red Jello.

Cover in plastic wrap and refrigerate this fun patriotic dessert until you are ready to serve. This will make 4-6 parfaits depending on how large your glasses are. If you only have tiny cups or shot glasses, make a bunch of Jello desserts!

Four Red White and Blue Jello Desserts on a metal tableCan I Use Different Flavors For This Red White And Blue Jello dessert?

Yes! I used Berry Blue Jello for the blue layer of Jello and strawberry for the red layer of Jello, but you can choose what you like. There are different red flavors, such as raspberry Jello, cherry Jello, or different flavors of strawberry Jello, so take your pick. The only other blue flavor I know of is Blue Raspberry, so choose what you find at the grocery store.
