If you’ve seen pickle wraps at parties or heard about them and wanted to give them a try, you have to make my Easy Bacon Wrapped Pickles! As bacon wrapped recipes go, these pickle appetizers are unbelievably easy to make and super tasty!

A low carb, keto diet friendly, and gluten free appetizer, whether you are counting your net carbs or not, this is going to be a yummy treat. Using delicious strips of bacon and your favorite pickles, even the best chefs would make these the same way.

There are a few things that make this tasty snack a fantastic option – other than the delicious flavor. This is finger food, so there are no utensils or plates necessary, and it is made with two simple ingredients that you can get at any grocery store.

You can leave them out at room temperature, so they are a perfect addition to a party table, and the prep time is super minimal, so you can make them at the last minute.

With a great balance of smoky bacon flavor and tangy dill pickle, this is a great appetizer for any occasion!

Recipe Notes:

  • If your pickles have extra moisture from the juice, use paper towels to dry them off a little bit before wrapping them.
  • Aim to wrap your slice of bacon around the middle of each pickle so that only the ends are uncovered.
  • These will give you a combination of crispy bacon and soft bacon, as the ends of the bacon will be crispy and the middle may be softer.

You want the strip of bacon around the center of the pickle so that you can see the bottom and top of the pickle out of each end.

Place each now wrapped pickle spear on the baking sheet in a single layer.

If you are using thick-cut bacon strips, cook them a bit longer for the best results.

Serve with a small bowl of ranch dressing for dipping. Enjoy!

What Pickles Should I Be Using For This Bacon Pickle Fry Recipe?

I think sour pickles are the best with this recipe, so I would choose those over bread and butter pickles. You could also use dill pickle spears or mini dill pickles if that’s your preference.

Choose spears from a jar of pickles or start with whole pickles that you quarter, whatever your preference.
