Grilled Pineapple
Grilled pineapple is one of my absolute favorite recipes for summer and fall. Pineapples are in season and typically very affordable at the store. Plus, we are all so busy finding sides and meat for our barbecues that we often resort to fruit salads instead of anything creative. These pineapple steaks are incredibly easy and unbelievably delicious, so you can have confidence in serving them to your guests! Pair them with my Crispy Asparagus, Bacon and Cheese Southwestern Pasta Salad, and Strawberry Lemonade Cupcakes for a great spread!
Grilled Pineapple Recipe
Ingredients:
1 whole pineapple
1/2 cup brown sugar (optional)
1/4 cup olive oil or water (optional)
Also needed:
Pineapple corer
Knife
Grill
Use a pineapple corer to core your pineapple. Slice your pineapple into thick slices. Place each slice on the grill and grill each side for about 10 minutes. Carefully remove from the grill and serve. They are so soft and delicious, they will melt in your mouth! Serve hot or warm.
If you want a slightly more savory grilled pineapple, marinate the pineapple slices in 1/2 cup of brown sugar mixed into 1/4 cup of olive oil or water. Leave it for a few hours before grilling and you’ll end up with a sweet and savory taste.
