You will need to have dessert shot glasses or small shallow cups on hand for this recipe. You can get this 4-pack for a great price or find something equivalent that you might already have in your kitchen cabinets.
This great recipe is perfect for a dessert table for the holidays or for little hands at a birthday party. If you are making these for little guys, I highly suggest making your mini s’mores in plastic cups.
I prefer to use milk chocolate products for this recipe, but you can use dark chocolate if that’s your preference. Try one the first time and the other the next time. See what you like best.

Smores Cups Recipe
Ingredients:
1 chocolate pudding cup 3.25 oz
3 mini marshmallows
3 chocolate candy bar squares (such as Hershey’s chocolate bars)
2 graham crackers, full sheets, crushed
1 cup marshmallow creme (about 4 oz)
Pull out three small dessert glasses and place them in your work area. You’ll want to be adding to them throughout the process, so the best way to set things up is to have a small bowl of each of your other ingredients readily available.
Pull out two sheets of graham crackers from your package. Place them into a Ziploc bag and crush them with your hands until you have fine crumbs. You can also use a rolling pin or a mini food processor if that is easier.
Add a small layer of graham cracker crumbs into the bottom of each cup. Try to put about the same amount in each of the dessert glasses. You’ll want to use most of the graham cracker crumbs at this point, but reserve about a tablespoon or two for the top.
Next, pour your pudding into a pastry bag so that you can squeeze it into the center of each cup cleanly. If you do not have a pastry bag, you can also use a large resealable plastic bag (like a Ziploc) and cut off one small corner.
Now, squeeze the pudding into each of the little cups in a single layer. You want to fill them about 1/3 of the way up the glass, making sure to keep each glass about the same. Continue to empty the pudding in the glasses until you run out.
Next, add the gooey marshmallow creme into a piping bag just as you did with the pudding. Add some creme to each glass until the glass is filled to the top.
Once the glasses are full, add a little bit of graham cracker crumbs to the top of each cup. Top each one with miniature marshmallows along with a small section of milk chocolate candy bars. You can add a few more crumbs to the top of each marshmallow if you’d like.
For the chocolate bar, I did slightly shave mine, so they were little milk chocolate chunks along with a few shavings, but that step is completely optional. It looks awesome either way.
This recipe makes three glasses, so double or triple the recipe if you need more.
Serve immediately or fairly quickly for the best results. They’re much better if the graham cracker crumbs don’t get mushy by delaying too long, but they’ll be fine at room temperature for a few hours. Serve them with a glass of cold milk.
What Is S’mores Short For?
I’ve wondered this for years, so I did some research. S’mores is short for “some more” or “some mores.” It was published in a Girl Scout recipe book in the 1920s. The words got combined and now it stands for one of our favorite dessert recipes that can be made in a variety of ways. So whether you’re having melted chocolate with large marshmallows in graham cracker cups in a mini muffin tin, apple slices with chocolate chips, marshmallows, and graham cracker pieces (Like my Apple Nachos S’mores), or traditional s’mores with Hershey’s bars made over a fire pit, they’re all the delicious treat we call s’mores.
