Tasty Winter Snacks

Winter is the perfect time to curl up in front of the fire with a good book and relax. While you’re doing that though, you want to have some fun winter snack ideas to set the mood!

There are some snacks that are delicious all year round, but are clearly meant to be eaten in the colder weather. Just like Elsa from Frozen, who was totally fine existing in any weather, but winter weather was her jam. Can you tell I’m the mother to two kids?

Anyway, here are some fun winter snack ideas that everyone is going to love!

Tasty Rollups or Rolls

In the summertime you’re eating all kinds of salads and sandwiches, but I think of rollups as a winter thing. Finger foods that you can bake or cook and eat while curled up with a book or in front of the television.

A few great options here are these Pepperoni Rolls or Peanut Butter and Jelly Rollups. For both, you can easily keep the ingredients in your fridge and cabinets to make throughout the colder months. Plus, if you have leftover roast beef, you can make these Roast Beef and Cheddar Crescent Rolls. Easy and tasty finger food!

Indoor S’mores

You don’t have to venture outdoors for a delicious s’mores! You can make them right from the comfort of your own kitchen. And you can make some different variations at that!

Want to make something a little more classic? Try these Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups S’mores. With full sized Reese’s Cups and homemade peanut butter cookies, these are a peanut butter take on your favorite s’mores recipes.

For some s’mores snacks a little bit further out of the box, you can put together some S’mores Popcorn for movie nights, No-Bake S’mores Cups for dessert or Apple Nachos S’mores if you want something a touch healthier!

Homemade Hot Chocolate

You can usually find boxes of hot chocolate mix on sale for $1 during the winter months, so if you want something hot and chocolatey, you can most definitely do that on a budget.

If you’re looking for hot chocolate that is going to hit it out of the ballpark, though, you might want to try something like this Slow Cooker Hot Chocolate, Raspberry White Hot Chocolate or Creamy Vegan Hot Chocolate.

While you may think of hot chocolate as only a beverage, you can get this delicious treat in other ways as well! This easy Hot Chocolate Cheesecake Dip is a perfect snack to serve with graham crackers after school, for dessert or while hanging out. Or if you want a cold treat during the cold months, these Hot Chocolate Popsicles will hit the spot!

Snow Cream

Something every child should experience at least once in their lives is snow cream. Snow cream is ice cream made out of snow and it’s lots of fun!

One main tip – you want to make sure that you are collecting clean snow for this process! If you know that it is going to snow, set a large bowl out on your back porch or through an open window to collect some of the snow. Once you have your snow, try making some tasty basic Snow Ice Cream or a heightened version like this Chocolate Peppermint Snow Ice Cream!

Sweet Treats

There are a ton of different types of wintry sweet treats that you may want to check out! Muddy buddies are definitely a favorite, so something like these Nutella Peanut Butter Muddy Buddies, Dark Chocolate Peppermint Muddy Buddies or Sugar Cookie Muddy Buddies make excellent winter snacks.

You might also dig into these Chocolate Toffee Pretzels, Dark Chocolate Mint Bark or Chocolate Chip Cookie Dip when the weather is chilly. We all love light and sweet snacks that won’t ruin our meals, but will satisfy our cravings.

These Whoppers Truffles or Oreo Cookie Truffles are great sweet treats that you can make with the kids! With only a few steps, they can make their own wintry snacks!

There are so many fun winter snack ideas out there that are affordable and delicious. If you’re looking for a yummy treat, why not try one of these delicious cheap winter snacks?
